DON'T FORGET TO BE THE WAY YOU ARE

maddiesaur:

Is this a hint about Tom Hiddleston being the next Doctor?

He only has an object of each of the Doctors…

Banana, bowtie, glasses…

SO MANY FEELS

This scene is SOOOOO important and so few people are talking about it.WHY? Seriously. If you want any proof that he’s not completely in control the whole movie, here it is. Loki is just a pawn with big plans who has gotten himself into huge shit and can’t get out of it. And this scene makes it pretty fucking obvious that they’ve been torturing and manipulating him and are threatening to make it a thousand times worse.
I should probably just post my insane 5k essay I’ve written on how fucked up Loki is in this film. Because I’ve just got a lot of feelings.

He looks really rough when he comes to earth and it’s like, what the hell’s happened to him? And he has those brief moments when he’s fighting Thor on Stark Tower where he looks around at the destruction, and it’s like he briefly snaps out of it, as if he’s lost control and has no idea how things got this way.

THIS IS THE FUCKING TRUTH.
It’s why I support the theory that Loki might not fully be in control of himself - whether that be because of Thanos literally controlling him, or he’s just so consumed by fear of Thanos that he does what he must to appease him.
It’s obvious, in this scene - the ‘vision’ - that he’s fucking terrified of Thanos.
Maybe, yeah, he wanted revenge on Thor, maybe he does still feel angry and bitter, but I think his fear of what Thanos might do to him overpowers anything else, and I don’t think that Loki would’ve done everything he did if Thanos was out of the picture.
He might have even stopped himself earlier - you see it constantly, during the fight on top of Stark Tower, and when Thor is speaking to Loki on the cliff.
A part of him - nobody is sure how big that part is - wants to stop.
But he can’t - because he’s terrified.
If he stops, Thanos will grant him a life that will make him plead for death.
And Loki is scared. He is terrified of Thanos, he is terrified of failing everyone and everything once again.
Because even if he is murderous and controlling - chip away that outer shell, and what do you have? A little lost boy, who was neglected all of his life.
That’s not to say that Loki is innocent. He’s not. Far from it. He wanted to murder an entire race when he was in completel control of his own actions.
But I just don’t believe that everything he did in the Avengers was his decision alone. Or at least, I believe that any decisions he did make, every action he chose to commit, was driven, in some way, by fear.

oh. my. god. so fucking true!
